The Story of Delfin
Delfin lures were invented by the Norwegian master jeweller and obsessive angler, Arnulf Hoff back in 1882.
He realised precious metals like silver and copper reflect more natural light than other metals.
So he set about crafting clever little lures that cast with ease …
… but swim and reflect sunlight like a living thing.
The result was a sensation.
His little jewellery shop drew anglers from all over the country wanting these fish-fascinators that wriggled and kicked in a way that trout found irresistible.
By 1904, he’d opened his factory, in Trondheim, close to excellent trout and salmon waters, and beautiful coastline so that Arnulf could experiment as much as he liked.
Today, Delfin lures are sold all over the world and still astonish with their fish-catching ability.
